Pollution is something that is harmful to the environment,animals,plants and human. There are five types of pollution,land,air,water,sound and light. There are many people around the world who are trying to make a change of the law,creating inventions are groups of people are going out into the community to clean up our oceans. 

Land, Air and Water pollution?

There are three types of pollution that are affecting the environment, these are Land, Air and Water. Land pollution is when people litter, this means throwing rubbish on the ground. Also spraying harmful chemicals on our gardens and vegetables.

Air pollution has to do with gases. It can cause people to run out of energy because it hurts their lungs.

Water pollution is people throw rubbish on the streets and it goes into the drains then it travels to the big sea. Did you know if the New Zealand birds think plastic is food? The birds feed it to their chicks and they all die.

How does pollution affect people,animals and the environment?

Pollution affects people, animals and the environment in many ways. People are becoming very lazy and tossing their rubbish onto the streets and into the drains. This rubbish travels to the sea and affects the sea animals. Sea animals like turtles think plastic bags are jelly fish and they eat them. This can cause the plastic to get stuck in their stomach. There are many countries where people live by rubbish, this causes them to get infections and they get extremely sick.

What has been done to solve the pollution problem?

Jacinda Ardern is banning plastic bags in all retail shops to help reduce the amount of plastic that is being used in New Zealand. Inventors are creating new inventions like the Ohoo Orb and the E-bike. The Ohoo orb is made out of seaweed and aims to replace plastic. The E-bike cleans the air.
